St. David’s Children Society: “Where every child with an adoption plan is found a new family.
Our Mission Statement was written by Eve, age 8:
“Hi, my name is Eve. I have been adopted. My mum couldn’t look after me. Now I have a new family and I am very happy.”
St David’s Children Society is approved by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales to work as an adoption agency. Established in 1942, we are the longest serving adoption agency in Wales with over 75 years experience of placing children with new families. To date we have placed nearly 2,000 children for adoption.
We provide locally based adoption services across all of Wales and Herefordshire. We will also consider applications from enquirers who live on the borders of these regions.
St David’s seeks to promote the welfare of children irrespective of their race, religion, culture or ability.
We believe that every child has the right to a secure upbringing in a loving family. No child should wait for an adoption placement. There are currently 4,000 children in England & Wales waiting to be adopted. It is estimated that 1 in 4 of these children will not be placed, primarily due to the acute shortage of available adopters. Can you consider adopting one of these children? Help us achieve our vision.
St David’s offers:
An exceptionally high quality service.
A swift response to all enquirers.
A supportive service at all stages of the adoption process.
Locally based adoption services.
Regular preparation courses.
70 years adoption experience
Our commitment to you is to support the child and the adoptive family for life.
